Are you new to hiking and the Finger Lakes Trail? The FLT Passport Hike system is a series of fun, easy hikes to introduce you to the the Finger Lakes Trail. In addition to fun and healthy activity, you can earn awards by taking these hikes yourself. At the trail register somewhere on each hike, you can do a rubbing of the hike number into your Passport booklet. The Passport booklets are available at select locations listed below.
There is an error in the "Directions to Trailhead" for Hike #4: the line that says, "Turn east on county route 2, Karr Valley Rd.", should actually read, "Turn WEST on county route 2 ..." We regret any confusion this might have caused.
Patches for Passport Hikes
Here are the patches you can earn for completing at least four of the hikes in the FLT Passport Hike series. Each patch measures 3" x 4.5". The center patch is for the current series (central NY), and the left and right patches are for the upcoming western NY and eastern NY series. These last two hike series are being developed now, and we plan to make them available in 2012.

They will usually not be in display racks... you will need to ask for them. If you are making a special trip to pick one up, we recommend that you call first to make sure they have some in stock. You can also download a PDF of the booklet to view or print your own copy.
