The Finger Lakes Trail Conference encourages our members and friends to hike the entire Finger Lakes Trail from End-to-End, about 560 miles. In recognition of that accomplishment, we will present you with an engraved nameplate, two “End-to-End” patches and a certificate. You will also be recognized in the FLT News.
You need not through-hike the Trail, and there is no set time limit to becoming an End to Ender. Some folks have taken many years to reach their goal. You also don’t have to be a backpacker or sleep out on the trail to qualify. Many hikers take advantage of our County Hike Series Program in order to finish the Trail.

Branch Trail End-to-End
The FLTC also recognizes hikers who complete all of the FLT Branch Trails which include the Conservation Trail, Letchworth Branch Trail, Bristol Hills Branch Trail, Interloken Trail, and Onondaga Trail, for a total of about 360 miles. In recognition of that accomplishment, we will present you with two “Branch Trail End-to-End” patches. You will also be recognized in the FLT News. All End to End hikes must be on foot. Notify Jacqui that you are on this quest. Please contact Jacqui if you have any questions. jwensich@rochester.rr.com or 585-385-2265.
The Crystal Hills Branch Trail is currently optional. It will be a requirement in the Fall of 2012 (2 long road hikes will be greatly diminished). So-if you want your patches before the CHBT is required you need to finish and submit the documentation by the Fall Campout 2012.
Ed Sidote decided to give his End-to-End Coordinator duties to Jacqui Wensich, who has been assisting him for several years. If you aspire to hike the FLT from End-to-End, we encourage you to contact Jacqui. She would like to know you are involved, and may be able to offer you assistance. Needed forms can be downloaded from the website or directly form jwensich@rochester.rr.com. There is a newly updated End to End Guidebook available for a minimal cost at the FLT Store.
Maps and Guidebooks are available from the Finger Lakes Trail Conference Store. At the very least, you will want to acquire the maps for the sections you plan to hike. The Main Trail set consists of 33 maps. They can be purchased individually, or as a set for a reduced price. FLTC members can purchase maps at a discount.
Car spotters
The FLTC keeps a list of car spotters to assist day and continuous hikers. Contact the FLTC Service Center or jwensich@rochester.rr.com for the confidential list. Complete the Car Spotter Application (choose MS-Word or PDF format) if you would like to be a car spotter, providing assistance to hikers. This information will not be listed on the FLTC website.
